Foundation Program
A Foundation Program is a program that offers trades training (in this case in the automotive industry) for those who have finished high school. Lasting from six to eight months, they are offered at post-secondary institutions throughout the Province. The training is not an apprenticeship, but it can help an individual who wants to know more about a trade before committing to an apprenticeship, or one who is having difficulty finding an employer to sponsor them in an apprenticeship.
